HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE MAD GOOSE.
Posing, nesting, hunting, fishing, on the wing… birds are infinitely captivating and elusive subjects to photograph. A bird captured through my lens may or may not remain, may or may not be still for a clear focus, and may or may not tilt its head just so, present a profile, or remain in the light. These variables generate euphoria when I press the shutter release and discover later that I managed to capture a great image. That moment of capture expands into a permanent, extraordinary experience, when focus, light, and the bird’s essence present on my computer screen. For me, it hardly gets better!

“MADGOOSE,” the name, came from a FONDLY, BOB, review (for which I am forever grateful to Reedsy’s Jennie Lowe) in which my work was deemed the product of a “mad genius.” That muse, I decided is worthy of my voice, a new tangent to initiate, an effort to form and mold into a brand.
My Vision ....
... provide posters, tees, and fine art from my own still and video catalogues, to capture elements I “see” in the wilderness of my imagination including OUT OF THE BEAKS OF BIRDS, The LONG WALK POSTER COMPANY, the LONG TALK POSTER COMPANY, each of which seek to recognize and support human behavior through lenses of correction, triumph, or endurance.
